                                IT Support Engineer

                                Description of Responsibilities

                                We are a hospitality services firm that has been established in NYC for over 100 years.? As COVID-19 has changed much of our business, we have been growing immensely in our digital streaming and technical offerings.? Due to this change, we are looking to grow our Infrastructure Department with an IT Support Engineer - someone who takes pride in performing a high level of customer service while also managing and maintaining our windows platform.??

                                Responsibilities (include but are not limited)
                                ? Hands-on desktop hardware/OS deployment/Software installations
                                ? Handle break-fix issues with hardware and software in a mixed environment (95% Windows/5% Mac)
                                ? Provide assistance to users located at either of our locations as well as remote workers
                                ? Assisting with planning, testing, and implementation of systems
                                ? On-board and off-board staff following established process
                                ? Conduct new-hire orientation
                                ? Basic support of the internal Property Management System?
                                ? Daily monitoring of systems and network
                                ? Creating/Updating existing documentation on systems in conjunction with other team members
                                ? Work proactively with team members to ensure adequate coverage across multiple locations
                                ? Managing and responding to alerts in conjunction with the rest of the IT team
                                ? Participate in routine training
                                ? Escalate calls to outside vendors as appropriate
                                ? Manage IT department vendors
                                ? Participate in on-call rotation as required
                                ? Travel to secondary seasonal location as required

                                Experience:
                                The ITSE must have strong knowledge of:
                                ? Windows desktop and server operating systems (current versions)
                                ? Microsoft Office 2016/365 (Including applications and Exchange Online)
                                ? VMWare virtualization in a highly available shared storage environment
                                ? Server backup processes
                                ? Mobile device and tablet support and configuration (Apple/Android/Elo View)
                                ? Desktop hardware troubleshooting, configuration and support
                                ? Laptop hardware troubleshooting, configuration, and support (Windows OS and Chromebook)
                                ? Audio/Video including projectors, multimedia devices (Pandora, Spotify), etc.
                                ? Printer and copier troubleshooting, configuration, and support (HP, Xerox, Canon, Epson)
                                ? Familiar with using RMM tools (Manage Engine suite preferred)
                                ? Active Directory and Group Policy
                                ? Citrix/VPN/Remote Access Tools
                                ? Basic LAN/WAN concepts including network addressing, segmentation, etc.

                                The IT Desktop Support Engineer must have basic-level knowledge of:
                                ? Network hardware concepts (switches, firewalls, wireless AP, etc.)
                                ? Cloud-hosted services including Meraki MR/MV/MX
                                ? Inventory and asset management
                                ? Identifying LAN access ports, patch panels, and switch ports
                                ? DNS/DHCP in segmented multi-site network
                                ? Cloud computing
                                ? Industry-standard antivirus (Sophos preferred)
                                ? Ticketing systems (ServiceDesk Plus preferred)
                                ? Adobe Acrobat Professional
